Ratings and reviews

This story is readable in an hour, but that by no means makes it easy to read. Both the subject and its delivery are difficult, but in tandem they create a wrenching atmosphere. The prose pokes around in the mental space of someone caught in a riptide of negative personal and global circumstance feeding back on each other. While the story is unique, the experience is a sadly familiar one from this past decade. If you or someone you care about found themselves on the brutally unforgiving end of the economic meltdown in the United States, then the recounting of loss, social despair, medical misadventures, and employment/unemployment woes should be easy to relate to. Someone should really set up a forum for stories like these, right? The e-book presents these within the infrastructure of a blog set up for this purpose. There are places for links, and forum descriptions written in similar fractured language to that of the prose, but it is an empty shell save for the inaugural contributions of the author himself. Like a disconnected call for commiserators. This structure makes the author's stories all the more visceral. Short but engrossing read. Definitely worth a look.

Raw feelings exposed through a strange technological medium. Takes a little bit to get used to, but hits you right in the feels.
