I loved this book, first one I have read by this author and I downloaded it onto my phone. I loved always having the book with me and found i was unable to put it down. Lovely story, invoked every emotion and left me crying both tears of joy and sadness. If you like saga style books set at the beginning of the last century then this is for you. Hope you enjoy!

About the author

Born in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, Margaret Dickinson moved to the coast at the age of seven and so began her love for the sea and the Lincolnshire landscape.

Her ambition to be a writer began early and she had her first novel published at the age of twenty-five. This was followed by many further titles including Plough the Furrow, Sow the Seed and Reap the Harvest, which make up her Lincolnshire Fleethaven Trilogy.

Her novel Jenny's War continues the story of Jenny from Sons and Daughters.
