I've always wanted to know how James Herondale was after reading bits about him here and there throughout Cassandra's series. I wasn't disappointed at all. It's good to know that James found a parabatai that thoroughly understands him; Matthew fits perfectly! This short story is a slight must read if some people wanna read more about Will and Tessa's family.

I really love the tales of the Shadowhunter series. And I love seeing the crew from mortal instruments and infernal devices. I just wish I could see more of Simon. He was only in about a third of this book 😞

I've been waiting for Simon to make this revelation since the end of City of Heavenly Fire! Excited for the next one!
