Just no. I felt the story just fell flat, the romance plot between Sita and Ray felt forced, and that the whole story in general just lagged and was missing something; that magic. However, me being me, once I start a series I like to finish the series. I'm not a fan of Twilight at all but the Twilight series was better than this series, I felt; even the Vampire Diaries was better. So if you're looking for another Twilight, or even The Vampire Diaries, this isn't the book for you.

I thought I could give this book a try which failed miserably because it was that boring. The book had the action but the romance just fell flat and just seemed fake, the story line was such a drag and didn't light a spark of interest in me.

Love the spiritual dimension to the last vampire books. The protagonist having lived through most of history makes for fascinating reading. The main character is layered and well developed and is a pleasure to observe people and the world through.

Christopher Pike is a bestselling young adult novelist and has published several adult books as well—Sati and The Season of Passage being the most popular. In YA, his Last Vampire series—often called Thirst—is a big favorite among his fans. Pike was born in Brooklyn, New York, but grew up in Los Angeles. He lives in Santa Barbara, California, with his longtime partner, Abir.
