About this ebook

Drizzt navigates a winding path littered with secrets and lies in this suspenseful conclusion to the Neverwinter Saga

Drizzt is tangled up in Dahlia’s dark secrets more than ever. The ties that once held them close now threaten to rip apart as Dahlia’s bonds to Drizzt’s former foe, Artemis Entreri, continue to grow. Determined to stand for what’s right in the Realms once again, Drizzt forges a new road north toward Icewind Dale. Will Dahlia, Entreri, and the rest of his new companions follow? Will he be forced to fight the darkness alone? Either way, he knows now where he’s headed—back to the only place that’s ever felt like home.

Meanwhile, in the caverns of Gauntlgrym, the drow Tiago Baenre enlists the help of the Bregan D’aerthe in his quest to destroy his grandfather’s killer: Drizzt Do’Urden. While making promises they may not keep, the agents of the elite drow mercenary group hide plans of their own . . .

The Last Threshold is the fourth book in the Neverwinter Saga and the twenty-sixth installment in the Legend of Drizzt series.

Severely disappointed. I've been a lifelong Salvatore fan. Eagerly consuming every novel about Drizzt and the companions of the hall. The never winter series was great, another turn in Elf mentality of "living your life in shorter bursts" but then, Drizzt couldn't let go and remains in the past? There could have been so much more, what a disappointing ending. If there isn't another book about Drizzt... I don't feel like 20+ years of Drizzt should end in such an anticlimactic fashion..

Great book but wow the ending was so lame and ruins the experience of reading the book. I would of expected more description of what happened. I guess the author left it like that as to maybe bring drizzt back in future books. I would of given more stars but that ending sucked.

Couldn't put the it down. Kept trying to turn the last page hoping for one more hint as to the fate of that most beloved drow... Good thing there's new books!!

About the author

R.A. Salvatore was born in Massachusetts in 1959. He is the New York Times–bestselling author of more than forty novels, including the popular Forgotten Realms series, The Legend of Drizzt. His love affair with fantasy, and with literature in general, began during his sophomore year of college when he was given a copy of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings as a Christmas gift. He promptly changed his major from computer science to journalism. He began writing seriously in 1982, penning the manuscript that would become Echoes of the Fourth Magic.

His first published novel was The Crystal Shard from TSR in 1988, and his novel The Silent Bladewon the Origins Award. He is still best known as the creator of dark elf Drizzt Do’Urden, one of fantasy’s most beloved characters.
