Daniels has definitely ramped up the suspense of the series more than a few notches with this one. The secrets and intrigue meld with danger and excitement. I love how Daniels melds it all together with the lives of her characters. The plot kept me guessing throughout, while also allowing me to fall in love with the fantastic locale that Daniels has created as the backdrop for this tale. Once again Daniels has created realistic, loveable characters with an edge. The complete development of their personalities and lives introduces you to new friends rather than simply storybook characters. The antagonism between the main characters was fantastic. The realism drew me in to the story while at the same time completely captivating me. As individuals they were intriguing and complex, and as a couple they were explosive. This is one of those stories you simply can’t put down because you absolutely have to know what happens next. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others or to re-read it time and time again. Lucky Shot is a fantastic romantic suspense by B.J. Daniels. Ms. Daniels has provided readers with a well-written book populated with an outstanding cast of characters. Max is a reporter investigating a story on the Hamilton mystery. Kat is busy preparing for a showing but Max manages to drag her into his investigation of her mother and her missing years. Kat and Max's story is loaded with cover-to-cover drama, humor, sizzle, action and suspense. I enjoyed this book.

Pulling hair, so good. . . can't wait for all the pieces to come together.
