This is the Anita Blake that everyone is nastalgic for. New Anita has veered from her roots, and Im not sure if shes coming back. I fell in love with Anita with this book and ive read every book since, hoping she would go back to some familiarity, but this series has sort of went from badass to some wierd erotica that just isnt very pleasing. You didnt sign up for erotica!!lol

The entire Anita Blake series is the best books I have read in along time. There's never a dull moment and some very steamy and passionate love triangles. Laurell K. Hamilton,knows how to make you feel the levels in her writings.

Dark fantasy, detective mystery, vampires, monsters, ghouls, and a tough as nails vampire hunter/animator of the dead.
