I first read this book in 2011 while transcribing it from print to braille. I found it wonderfully imaginative and quite relatable to my own life when I was in middle school. However, I feel that the main character was put through tribulations far beyond what the average 12-13 y.o. would realistically encounter. Nevertheless, this is an excellent read for anyone, and provides a strong point that even someone with any kind of impairment can overcome the obstacles placed before them, no matter who sets them there.

A kid name Paul and his brother move and both try to be the best but get caught in tough situations. Paul has always been told that his eyes are bad because he looked at a solar eclipse ( if u know what that is) and finds out the hard truth he meets some pretty good friends and his brothers best friend is a murderer and a player is shocked by a sight he won't remember..... Ever, so dig into this book and be amazed bye this 12 year old boys journey with twisted endings and beginnings there will always be the memory of those final words on the page

At first i didn't want anything to do with this book because i felt like i wouldn't be able to connect to the character since soccer and football are the 2 sports that i have no interest in and can't play but it is a truly amazing book , you get to grow discover the character as they discover themselves i honestly thought that this was just going to be another boring straight plot book assigned for summer reading but it turned out to be an amazing book with a bunch of life lessons
