Rose's mother and Joshua's father have disappeared. Ratings and reviews

This book had me hooked the moment I started reading it (as did the first one in the series). There is constantly more than one side to the story, and so keeps the reader focused on at least two mysteries at the same time; the intensity is both emotional and fascinating. The only reason I haven't given the book 5* is because the grammar and punctuation could do with improving and the ending seems a little rushed. Otherwise, a great book.

I think it's good but one thing- you have told us every detail about everything and that gets a bit tiresome

About the author

Anne Cassidy lives in Essex. She was a teacher for twenty years. Her first book was published in 1991 and she has published over twenty teen novels. She is the author of Looking for JJ, which was shortlisted for the Whitbread Award 2004 and the Carnegie Medal 2005 and was winner of the 2004 Booktrust Teenage Book Award.
