Whew..... I had to develop oodles of imagery to understand most of the scenes where magic and fighting took place. But once done I devoured the book like magic did to Atlanta. I really hate the idea that it will take a year if ever to see the next book. But I'm guessing the cookies and grandchildren note means an end to this series,..... except what about the BFF pregnant bouda.

Is it just me? Something's off about the writing style. Like it's written by a different author. Seriously. I've enjoyed all the Kate Daniels novels. But this one didn't give me the same feeling or atmosphere as the previous ones. The narratives.. It's not Kate. The plot was awesome as usual but the voice was not the same. Even Curran's. I even went back to read the other books again to doublecheck if i skipped any volume. Am i the only one who feels this way? Character development is one thing... This was

I absolutely loved this book and excited that it continues to three more books. I do understand why it would end here and I love it for that reason. I would have been happy if the book ended here but at the same time I would want to know a lot more.
