I own the paperback version. I bought it on a whim in the book store. This book kept me engaged throughout the entire thing. I realized how great the writing was when after a particularly intense portion I looked down and realized I was white-knuckling my desk. His style of blending fact and fiction has been perfected from his earlier works (e.g., Goliath) and the way he keeps you excited throughout is amazing. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

It's been a long time since I've read something that had such beautiful detail of the country that it was based in. The author knows how to keep the reader wanting more.

Amazing story and so realistic. Steve Alten really dives (no pun intended) into his work studies to give a realistic story for one to read. He will forever be #1 with me as a reader. I own all his books.
