About this ebook

In Laura Marie Altom’s scorching new Shamed novel, perfect for fans of Kendall Ryan and Claire Kent, two broken hearts push one another to the breaking point—until love changes everything.

Having lost the woman he loves to his best friend, Nathan Black swears off dating and playing by the rules. He’s also tired of being broke. His new gig as a male escort isn’t exactly legal, but the cash will help him build a solid future. Then there’s the sweet, innocent woman he meets at the wedding. It’s not the last night that ends with the two of them in bed together, and Nathan sure could use a little stability. But how could a good girl like her settle down with a screw-up like him?

Feeling sorry for herself at her boss’s wedding, Carol Moore finds herself hooking up with a close friend of both the bride and groom. Nathan is hot, adventurous, and just a little bit dangerous. But when one of their sexy games goes too far, Carol discovers how out of control Nathan’s life really is. And before long Carol is forced to choose between her safe old life and the bad boy who makes her feel like the woman she’s meant to be.

I think I liked this one better than the first two books, they seemed about half a book too long and then ended really fast. I think there's a lot of truth though ,in how young people are corralled into the world of prostitution, just like Nathan, but they never escape. Maybe more parents should talk to their older children about the tactics that are employed to get them tied to that kind of life. Anyhow the book is interesting and keeps you rooting for the couple all the way. Can't wait for the next one.

This story line was a little different than I normally see. How many times does a man become a male escort? There are no billionaires, step relationships, or best friends. It is about two normal people. After Ella, the woman Nathan loves and Liam, the man Carol loves, they realize it is time to move on. What better than to move on with each other. They hope some horizontal activities, beginning at the wedding, will lessen the pain. But soon they find themselves falling for each other. Because Nathan has nowhere near her bosses (Liam) wealth, he decides to become a male escort. But right off the back, as you the reader, you being to feel there is something shady with this job. It just doesn’t feel right. When Carol finds out about it, she asks him to stop. However Nathan soon comes to realize his boss will not let me stop and refuses to let him go. Overall, this was just ok for me. I think the first two books were a little bit better. But it is still worth reading.

Very enjoyable read! Slightly predictable, (I mean come on Nathan!)but overall very entertaining. While attending the wedding of the woman he loves to another man, Nathan turns to the only other person who can understand how he's feeling. Carol Moore, Liam's personal assistant and former lover knows all to well how Nathan feels, so what could one night of comfort in each others arms hurt?? When things start taking a turn to serious, will either of them end up with their heart in tact? I definitely recommend this one.

About the author

Laura Marie Altom is the author of more than forty books in three different genres. Now that her kids are in college, Altom spends her days writing and chasing after a menagerie of pets: a mini long-haired dachshund named Cocoa, a Yorkie named Chewie, a mutt named Sweet Pea, a giant kitty named Foxy, and Domino—a black-and-white stealth cat she rarely sees. She’s happily married to her college sweetheart (go Hogs!), and when night falls, she steals a few romantic moments for herself with her own hunky cover stud.
