About this ebook

Acting Sheriff Ben Logan hasn't heard from Leigh Somerall in a very long time, but it doesn't mean he can get her--or their whirlwind romance of ten years ago--out of his head. When she calls out of the blue, it is with a strange request to protect her brother, Tony. When Tony dies just days later, Ben is charged with a different task--protecting Leigh and her nine-year-old son, TJ, from the killers. But how can Ben keep an eye on Leigh if she's doing everything in her power to avoid him? And could the secret that Leigh is keeping change Ben's life forever?
Suspense, intrigue, and a touch of romance make A Promise to Protect perfect for readers who like their stories with a hearty dose of mystery.

I liked the main charcters and i read the previous books all located in Logan Point. The story line and mysteries were all interesting but the book didnt have enough wow moments for me. Yes i would recommend especially as part of the series but to me other books were more interesting.

Ben Logan is trying to do his best to keep Logan Point and its residence safe, he is not prepared for a phone call from his ex-girlfiriend. When she is asking him to help her brother and he fails, can he keep his promise to her brother and protect her? At the same time find out who is messing with his town? Will his heart be able to stay out of the way or will it get crushed, again? Ben also must learn the hard lesson that sometimes it is harder to forgive yourself than to forgive others. Leigh Somerall never planned to move back to Logan Point and the heartache she left behind. Will her secrets be unfolded? Can she too learn to forgive or will bitterness win? When she must depend on the one man she desires to stay as far away from as possible, can she trust her feeling, her son and keep her secret? She is confronted with many choices, yet the most important is if she can forgive herself and others.
