Another great read from Scarrow. An excellent story, which when I first started to read thought of Spartacus. A nice twist with the character cast as the leader of the slaves. The only thing that spoiled the book (by a small amount) was the last fight. In the sense that there wasnt one, it was more of a scuffle. Apart from that an enjoyable read. The pace of the book was good. In this book Cato and Macro, spent most of the book apart. So had their own adventure without the other. This worked and shows how far Cato has come since the arrived at the 2nd Legion all those years ago in the first book in the series.
