Not read any Tony Parsons since the 80's, two novels about a rock star and a tennis player respectively. I enjoyed them, particularly the rock music one, quite good fun working out who the thinly disguised characters were based on in real life. Anyway, as murder novels go this was OK, read it in next to no time. The twists and turns at the end were fairly easy to anticipate, but as a first attempt not bad. Ian Rankin can sleep easy, but I will read the next Max Wolfe book.

Love parsons. Read every book. Was pleased to see he'd tried his hand at another genre. Lots of characters. The kind of book you need to not break from. Actually took quite a while to read. A good book.

Really enjoyed this, a great read. Not quite 5 stars because some parts didn't hang together or were too easy to guess, but still gripping.
