I absolutely love this series! I chose this book to do for a school project last year and I was not disappointed. The idea behind it is so interesting, and I cant wait to read the second book when I buy it!

This is one of the best books I have ever read! I actually broke down in tears at the end. I really wish that their was a sequel. ------ Just found out that their will be a sequel so I am soooo excited and cannot wait until it's release date!!!

This book was perfect. It had a lot of details about the way Eight comes to live with the congressman and his family. It also talks about her life with them throughout the book.

About the author

Kate Jarvik Birch is a visual artist, author, playwright, daydreamer, and professional procrastinator. As a child, she wanted to grow up to be either a unicorn or mermaid. Luckily, being a writer turned out to be just as magical. Her essays and short stories have been published in literary journals including Indiana Review and Saint Ann's Review. She lives in Salt Lake City, Utah with her husband and three kids.
