I've read them all and it's annoying to have to read the regurgitated descriptions about the past and characters over and over in each new book now. A guide at the beginning would solve this problem but then I feel like these pages are fillers to fatten the books up.

Laurel is a modern day god. She has created a whole new genre. Anytime you hear the term "Necromancer" in a novel they are the bad guy. Well Anita Blake is no saint but she is the heroine in these novels and the bad guys soon learn don't mess with her (usually too late). Yes there are vampires and were-animals (not just wolves) and she styled them after older style novels. Best advice i can give people when they ask about these books "just read them."

Once again we are pulled into the magical but oh real world of Anita. This book has everything from BAMF Anita we have all loved from the first book to emotionally mature enough to work through her problems Anita that we have grown to love time and time again. Definitely worth the read
