If I had to summarize the plot of this book in three sentences, I would say that it is very suspenseful. Also it gives me the idea that you would be in hunger to read more because you are very curious of what comes next. The author describes the thugs mighty well. The main themes in this book include how people still yearn to try to redo history. These temes don't relate to my life in any way since I do not know any people who want the modern world back to 1776 nor I want it to. The main character of the story could be described as brave because despite being "kidnapped" to unknown places, he wouldn't shout like a freak. I would describe the author's writing style to be very good. One quote from the book that illustrates this is, "Graphic granite, interlocking crystals, cherts, gneisses, schists, shale, foliated metamorphics, quartzites, quartz crystals, red-bed sandstones, Triassic red sand, acidic volcanics, pink feldspar, green chlorite, ironstone, grit, sand, and silt. You know what all the stuff is?" My favorite scene was where the main character was kidnapped of course, because thats when the FBI was at! The climacx of the story didn't turn out to be as exciting as I thought it would be though. If there were one question I would ask the author of this book, it would be did you get the idea of writing the story years before you published this book? I would recommend this book to a person that likes suspence.

Very complicated and convoluted story that had every possible combination of contrived relationships, silly scenarios and unrealistic situations. Was hard to follow and had a bad ending. Very average.

My second lee childs read...great stories. However......he should be banned from using the word "shrugged" or any variation of that word for the rest of his writing career . It's just about ruining his books for me. That and "nosed". Please for the love of god use your imagination and find another useful word. Gonna give me a tick.......
