Kind of reminds me of The Shack. Is it real or an illusion? Is it God or an angel or just a vision or dream or what? Whatever it was, it was transforming for the real life Glenn Beck, just like it was transforming for the Eddie character in the novel. I suspect it has been motivating to many of Beck's readers as well. As for theology, we evangelical Christians use similar language, but because our definitions tend to differ underneath I can admire that Beck is openly a man of faith in the marketplace while not embracing his message wholeheartedly. This is a quick read and fairly easy. Parents preview it, for some might choose to use it as family reading.

I don't usually cry reading a book. But this one did me in. I loved the sentimentality of it. And I love the journey.

All should read this. It may be written by Beck but it is not a political book. It is a story about a 13 year old boy that is having to face his own personal storm, a storm that we all have to face many times during our life.
