About this ebook

Now with a stunning new cover look, King's classic No. 1 bestseller and the basis for the massively successful films It: Chapter One and It: Chapter Two as well as the inspiration for HBO Max's upcoming Welcome to Derry.

We all float down here.

Derry, Maine is just an ordinary town: familiar, well-ordered for the most part, a good place to live.

It is a group of children who see - and feel - what makes Derry so horribly different. In the storm drains, in the sewers, IT lurks, taking on the shape of every nightmare, each one's deepest dread. Sometimes IT appears as an evil clown named Pennywise and sometimes IT reaches up, seizing, tearing, killing . . .

Time passes and the children grow up, move away and forget. Until they are called back, once more to confront IT as IT stirs and coils in the sullen depths of their memories, emerging again to make their past nightmares a terrible present reality.

Stephen King is such a great author, definitely one of my favourites. The book is great and I prefer it more over the films but there films are also pretty good and enjoyable to watch. But don't read it if you can't handle long ass books and then complain because its long or too much. Its supposed to be, keep in mind it has over 1000 pages and the original film was 3 hours long and the remake was over 2 hours (for just the first part). However, I definitely recommend both the book and the film(s).

At 29 yrs old, I have finally read this book after an almost lifelong fear of clowns (from seeing an image of Tim Curry's It as a toddler). Not one of the best King stories ever, I thought parts of the plot were unnecessary, but it was still very good. Not so much to be afraid of after all!

Didn't think I would enjoy this after 7th time of reading It but, I've got to say I enjoyed it a lot more. I'd encourage anyone to give this a read before seeing the film (although it might ruin the film for you, as I hated the 2017 film) still, this is the most captivating book after many years and many books. There's isn't a better storyteller than Stephen King.
