About this ebook

A new epic of alien invasion and human resistance by Hugo Award-winning author Will McIntosh.

The invaders came to claim earth as their own, overwhelming us with superior weapons and the ability to read our minds like open books.

Our only chance for survival was to engineer a new race of perfect soldiers to combat them. Seventeen feet tall, knowing and loving nothing but war, their minds closed to the aliens.

But these saviors could never be our servants. And what is done cannot be undone.

I really liked this book, a lot! super fun and quick read, I couldn't put it down.......but I found it a lil hard to believe someone engineering a16ft tall 140 IQ super soldier without some sort of failsafe! And why was there never any mention of the defenders expected lifespan throughout the entire book?

The writing is good enough, but the (human) characters are preposterous, unlikeable, shallowly portrayed, and their actions and reactions pathetic. The story is utterly, completely predictable, and the moralizing simple and predictable. A let down.

You could see where it was going through most of the book and it didn't have any unexpected twists, but it was an enjoyable enough read.
