Lots of action, plot twists, and suspense, all set in one of my favorite places to be. With supportive friends both living and ghost, Pyper works to solve the murders done by a witch/serial killer and winds up in jail, fighting for her own life, and trying to sort out her relationship with a living ghost, while running her coffee shop and advance her career as a very unusual artist.

Great! Has all the ingredients you want in a good book: humor, mystery, supernatural, feel good ending...I can't wait to read the next one!

Deanna Chase has done it again! Everything about this book was really great! She always does amazing things with the city of New Orleans. The characters she brings to life are fun, exciting, and very likeable. Pyper has been one of my favorites from the Jade Calhoun series, so I couldn't wait to read her story. It doesn't disappoint. Pyper has been sucked into the supernatural craziness multiple times before, but now she is supernatural herself. The story had a lot of surprising twists. It also had a lot of funny moments. I loved all the ghost stuff in this book, especially the characters. It helped add many surprises to this book, and helped give us an idea of what Pyper can do now. I love that Deanna always does an excellent job with her characters. You can't go wrong reading any of her books, especially this one. Pyper brings a whole new perspective to this world, and her abilities definitely bring all kinds of new possibilities. I think Deanna Chase has a wonderful new series with this one.
