Having read the Magician it was only natural to find out what happens next. Overall a great read, always needed to complete the chapter before stopping. New characters adding to those brought forward from the Magician opened up new story lines. Ceratainly better than many reviews I read. If you think too deeply when fiction ofcourse you will pick holes, for me read and take it at face value and enjoy a good book from a good author. Need the next one now...

Almost a completely different writing style from the first book and written as if it was designed to be read by kids rather than adults. As I'm not a kid, I couldn't get past chapter 4.
