To be honest, this series was not at ALL what I was expecting. I thoroughly enjoyed the No-Holds-Bar style of writing and I found myself absolutely captivated and craving more as I finished each book and moved onto the next. I think it takes a lot for an author to just write a good book/series without worrying about offending people and catering to this ridiculous society we live in. Thank you, Jason, for keeping me entertained and captivated while I'm doing my chores. You are a real one, man!

Written with both a comical immaturity and an incredibly poignant insight, this book truly haunted me. With the groundwork that literally anything can happen, you never know what to expect or believe, and it truly doesn't matter by the end. The reality Pargin has created here allows for an unending stream of surprises, humour, and suspense that will leave you wishing you could erase it from your memory, simply to have the pleasure of reading through anew. A work of modern brilliance.

that certainly was.....something. I can honestly say I have never read anything like this before,take that as a regular or backhanded compliment if you wish as I am still deciding if I mean it one way or the other. Worth the price and I may very well read the series through. Here is to hoping the next one doesn't meander around intrigue,boredom,understanding,and complete nonsense(or atleast if it does I can make up my mind on whether I like it or not.)
