Ratings and reviews

A Cowgirl's Christmas doesn't start out as normal love stories do. Callan and her sister's lives are turned upside down first by the death of their father, then by 4 letters left to them by the mother who died when Callan was only eight years old. This is a darkly inspired book and one not so easily read. Court, legal heir to all Callan holds dear, tries to be understanding and kind to her but the tragedy of it all is over whelming to Callan, the youngest sister. Her three sisters quickly pull themselves together, but Callan, who never left the ranch or her father, is totally taken aback by all that has occurred. I recommend it as a slow reading, but one that comes to a satisfactory ending.

So much drama and heartache. Could not put it down. Loved it tremendously. So different from anything I have read.

Hard to imagine a more glamorous life than being an accountant, isn't it? Still, I gave up the thrills of income tax forms and double entry book-keeping when I sold my first book in 1998. I've now written more than 40 (2 of which were nominated for RITAs by the Romance Writers of America). When I'm not writing I love to be out hiking, cross-country skiing or biking.
