I enjoyed this continuation story of Katherine travelling the hard trail from Edmonton to the far North with her Canadian Mounted Police, Wynn, by her side. It is hard to imagine the type of life that was lived in those days and all the services expected from the RCMP, and the loneliness endured by their spouses while hubby spends days on the trails doing his job. There were some spots in this particular book which I found slow, but overall a great read.
