About this ebook

Russell Brand wants YOU to join the revolution.

We all know the system isn't working. Our governments are corrupt and the opposing parties pointlessly similar. Our culture is filled with vacuity and pap, and we are told there's nothing we can do - "it's just the way things are".

In this book, Russell Brand hilariously lacerates the straw men and paper tigers of our conformist times and presents, with the help of experts as diverse as Thomas Piketty and George Orwell, a vision for a fairer, sexier society that's fun and inclusive.

You have been lied to, told there's no alternative, no choice and that you don't deserve any better. Brand destroys this illusory facade as amusingly and deftly as he annihilates Morning Joe anchors, Fox News fascists and BBC stalwarts.

This book makes revolution not only possible, but inevitable and fun.

Its great what he's doing and he should keep it up and we all will join in :). I like how he touches on the fact he has money and is selling his book... And the shame of the stigma that comes with this. However he does donate a large proportion of his money to various community projects and campaigns. And uses his celebrity status for good and not for personal gain. He has had some life and I'm glad he ended up here... For all our sakes. We are legion ;)

I found the concept insulting. Shockingly poorly considered ideas masked behind utter waffle. Just like on the television, he is hoping that if he says enough dribble then people will tune out and hopes we will give him the benefit of the doubt that there was a good idea under there. There most certainly are not good ideas under there. The only people impressed by this will be those too naive to think about it properly.

Very little substance for such a bold goal. There are frequent tangents which not only serve little or no purpose to the point at hand but are written in a flowery poetry which detracts from the narrative and looses any credibility that the topic requires. When a "revolutionary" idea is proposed, it's so idealistic and against human innate mentality that it's hard to take it with any seriousness. I've watched some of the Trews and enjoyed the Paxman interview and was looking forward to reading more on his views - I was very disappointed.
