She received a BA at the University of North Wales. Veronica Black is a writer of historic romance novels and founded the Romantic Novelists Association. She also writes mysteries that feature a character named Sister Joan with titles the include "A Vow of Silence," "A Vow of Obedience," and "A Vow of Poverty." She has also written the mystery novels "Fair Kilmeny" and "My Name is Polly Winter." She has been married twice and has four children.
