Fantastic story with rich characters, plenty of excitement and incredible concepts. My only sticking point is the length, some parts of the story were simply to long without adding value and I found myself leaving it for days at a time. However after battling through the first quarter it paid me back in kind, genuinely a great idea.

It went from mostly hard-science epic (which I enjoyed a lot) into full blown sci-fi (which I barely tolerated). I felt invested in the narrative which kept me pushing through to the end but some parts with excessive details felt like too much of a chore. Overall I'm glad to have read it.

If there is one thing that breaks immersion in a story, it is painfully obvious plotholes that remind you that none of this is real and it all just came out of someone's imagination. The ending was also rushed. After over 800 pages, you rushed the ending.
