THIS IS THE WAY THE WORLD ENDS . . . FOR THE LAST TIME.
IT STARTS WITH THE GREAT RED RIFT across the heart of the world's sole continent, spewing ash that blots out the sun.
IT STARTS WITH DEATH, with a murdered son and a missing daughter.
IT STARTS WITH BETRAYAL, and long dormant wounds rising up to fester.
This is the Stillness, a land long familiar with catastrophe, where the power of the earth is wielded as a weapon. And where there is no mercy.

Really enjoyed it and loved the idea of geowizardry and how it all plays out. Only downside for me was apart from the protagonist the other characters were pretty 1 dimensional - but hey this is sci-fi fantasy

A good read that had some cool twists and turns and certainly kept me interested. Somewhere between Sci-fi and earth science, which in itself is pretty unique.

I have read the whole series and love them so much. One of my now all time favorite speculative/fantasy fiction books. It might be a little bit of difficult start for some readers due to the writing style but it is well worth it , a touching story about humanity and motherhood.
