An incredible story and very fun as well. Classic Chinese Mythology that inspired Dragon Ball series and perhaps even Spider-Man. Short, cheap, easy reading, very objective and well written in right dose. Totally recommended!

This story gives a delightful look into the Chinese mind-set during the 1600s. I have read this several times and it is as enjoyable now as when I read it for the first time!

I loved this book, it is the original story of what happened to the Monkey King before the series of Monkey Magic which centred on the Monkey Kings journey with the monk to india with the secret scrolls this story is also centre for the film The Forbidden Kingdom. Must read and watch the film and series too.
