I feel sorry for the MC in this. She’s sort of forced to marry someone because her family tricked the guy. He thinks she’s involved with the trick and treats her poorly through the book. Though she would like a calm life in the country side she puts up with being her husband’s arm candy in rich people land. He’s pretty sleazy, was having an affair with the MC’s *married* cousin at the start of the book, and her cousin assures her that they’re still gonna be banging on the side (wishful thinking on cousin’s end). She finally gets a backbone and leaves the guy. He follows her and they role play that they’d just met. I think? She expresses he just looks like her husband but also knows it’s her husband on the next page. Little confusing. After that he finally confesses he already fell in love with her, doesn’t want anything to do with her cousin anymore, and the story ends.
