About this ebook

The Traitor Queen is the triumphant conclusion to the No. 1 Sunday Times bestselling Traitor Spy trilogy from fantasy phenomenon Trudi Canavan, which began with The Ambassador's Mission and continued with The Rogue.

Events are building to a climax in Sachaka as Lorkin returns from his exile with the Traitor rebels.

The Traitor Queen has given Lorkin the huge task of brokering an alliance between his people and the Traitors. Lorkin has also had to become a feared black magician in order to harness the power of an entirely new kind of gemstone magic. This knowledge could transform the Guild of Magicians - or make Lorkin an outcast forever.

Set in the same world as her global bestselling Black Magician Trilogy, Trudi Canavan's Traitor Spy Trilogy is a gripping fantasy adventure filled with danger and forbidden magic.

On the whole i really enjoyed this series, i like the style of writing and the story i thought was really strong. I will certainly be keeping an eye on this author! However i just got the feeling that i would have enjoyed it so much more if Canavan had gone into more detail - it felt a little 'skimmed over', like i was being protected by the author so as not to get too scared! Lacking in tension but otherwise interesting storyline.

The story concludes, everyone lives happily ever after and so on. I couldn't help but feel the ending was a bit of a let down - but then again I did stay up to the early hours of the morning to finish it.

Loved the story and is a great followup to the Black Magician Trilogy but I found a few of the plot pieces were a bit too simple, and there was a lot more inner voice use that often was not needed. Still a great story and one I've very much d enjoyed.
