Her fate is set in stone...

Autumn Rose lives in a sleepy seaside town in the south-west of England, but buried deep under the surface of her quiet life are dark secrets. Swirling marks on her skin mark her out as having extraordinary power, but at school she is shunned and condemned by the very people she is sworn to protect.

But the appearance of a handsome young man at her school – who has the same curious markings as Autumn Rose – sends her world into turmoil. Plus, there is the fact that Autumn keeps dreaming of a human girl who is about to be seduced by a very dark Prince ... and Autumn must figure out how to save her before it is too late.

The exhilarating sequel to The Dark Heroine: Dinner with a Vampire, the incredible online sensation.

I was so dissapointed with this book. I guess because i loved the first (its second in my top favourites) that my expectations were too high but the chatacters that were introduced in the first novel werent believable in this. I hated kaspar in autumn rose. I thought some parts were put in it for the sake of it, like sex scenes that were over the top and unnecessary. im hoping this was just a sent up for the next novel.

I thought that this would be a continuation of the first book, following the same characters pov. Unfortunately, after waiting ridiculously longer than we were told for the release, I found that it jumps back in time to tell the story of Autumn Rose from her pov. The story wasn't bad, but it didn't compare to the first book. I felt that the characters lacked some of the fearceness that the Varns have...but then again, they are a different species. Still a well written story, just disappointing.

It took a long time to warm up to the new characters. Autumn Rise spent to long feeling sorry for herself. Once Casper and Violet were introduced their personalities were totally different from the first book. Violet is unrecognisable to me.
