This was a beautiful story in which two lonely souls find each other and are able to overcome circumstances and come together at the end. The depth of the characters is amazing and well developed. Overall the story was amazing and touching, and I find it difficult to critize the writer but I do not see she manages to explain away so many behaviors that were not accepted in the period. I am sure that even within the social constrictions of the period, the characters and the scenes could have been written accordingly. I hope she does in the future. The essence of her stories are absolutely beautiful.

You fall in love with the people, You laugh with them, cry with them and feel what true love is all about. This was the first of Grace's books I've read and it definitely won't be the last.
