I must say that Anderson has never disappointed me when it comes to her writing. This is no exception. I had my thoughts on how this book would be. I thought it would continue with the escape from the first one but in reality, it did not. This book had so many twist and turns that I lost count. I enjoy the action, the adventure, the romance, and the historical accuracy within the pages. This is a great American novel about how America was becoming America. A great read and a definite recommendation for anyone who enjoys history.

This is the next book.I haven't read it but my friends have and I've read the first book which was talking about two sisters who have lost their parents to small pox and fight for their freedom.THAT WAS AWESOME.CAN'T WAIT TO READ THIS ONE BECAUSE ITS THE NEXT BOOK!!!!!

This book is amazing!! I love how it alludes to Mattie in the book fever 1793. I couldn't put my tablet down after starting this!! Laurie halse Anderson has written yet another great book! I can't wait for ashes to be available on the Google play store!
