About this ebook

When 17 year old Isabella Swan moves to Forks, Washington to live with her father she expects that her new life will be as dull as the town.

But in spite of her awkward manner and low expectations, she finds that her new classmates are drawn to this pale, dark-haired new girl in town. But not, it seems, the Cullen family. These five adopted brothers and sisters obviously prefer their own company and will make no exception for Bella.

Bella is convinced that Edward Cullen in particular hates her, but she feels a strange attraction to him, although his hostility makes her feel almost physically ill. He seems determined to push her away - until, that is, he saves her life from an out of control car.

Bella will soon discover that there is a very good reason for Edward's coldness. He, and his family, are vampires - and he knows how dangerous it is for others to get too close.

When heroine Isabella Swan Leaves sunny Arizona to give her Mum and new step dad Phil some space, she finds herself in rainy Forks, Washington with her father Charlie. She expects her life in Forks to be very boring. When she goes to Biology class she finds that she sits next to a bronze haired pale faced angel, but this angel seems to hate Bella. His name is Edward Cullen. Edward ignores Bella until he saves her from an out of control car. He leaves dints in the van and that makes Bella wonder what Edward.Cullen really is. She will soon find out that she should have stayed away from Edward because his family are all vampires, but she just feels all the more drawn to him. Soon she goes with his family into the woods to watch them play baseball, and that when the action starts. A hunter named James catches Bella's scent and Edward reacts to that and so Bella is followed every where by this James, and all James wants is to suck Bella's blood. The greatest book ever!!!!

Terrible writing, poor characterization and overuse of purple prose, Twilight is like a train wreck- terrible but hard to look away. It has a number of dubious moral messages: stalking is romantic, abusive and controlling relationships are acceptible if not desired and that the only thing that matters in life is this 'love' even if it isolates you from friends and family and you are probably too young to know what you really want. Do not bother with this book- you will never get the lost time back.
