Ratings and reviews

First half very slow moving with too many technical details. The protagonist is rather feeble. Second half the pace picks up and it becomes more interesting. The film with Winslet was more gripping. I expected more from this.

I have just read it twice - the second reading made the complexities clear. I'm glad I read it again.
