The author has created a fascinating world that draws the reader with strong compelling characters and some intriguing and different elements and the steady to fast paced plot keeps readers on the edge of their seat with lots of suspense, excitement and passion. Lyssa has always had some strong but weird abilities but they come at great cost; brutal headaches, power fluctuations and she’s possibly losing her mind and the reader can’t help but get caught up in her story as she discovers that she’s not the only one out there and that she can learn to control her abilities. Kyros can’t believe he’s found an untrained female of his kind and he can’t deny the instant attraction he feels for her but he has some serious competition in the relationship department as Lyssa already has a sorta boyfriend. The well written scenes and details capture the imagination and spine tingling tension builds throughout the story as Lyssa’s power fluctuations grow and Kyros’ enemy returns from the dead and targets Lyssa. The reader can’t help but become more fascinated with the story the more they learn of the extra-sentient beings world and there is lots of excitement and twists.

So beautiful! The descriptive language spoke to my soul. I wasn't sure I would like it being different from her normal style but i did so much!

About the author

Moriah Densley sees nothing odd at all about keeping both a violin case and a range bag stuffed with pistols in the back seat of her car. They hold up the stack of books in the middle, of course. She enjoys writing about Victorians, assassins, and geeks. Her muses are summoned by the smell of chocolate, usually at odd hours of the night. By day her alter ego is your friendly neighborhood music teacher. She lives in Las Vegas with her husband, four children, and two possibly brain-damaged cats.
