it was my first book of Michael Connelly. nowadays I read various authors' books to find out more about my favorite. I liked Michael Connelly. he managed to write a nice not-so-mysterious detective novel. there is no fill-in-the-blanks pages, as we can see everywhere, in this book. all parts relate to other parts and depend to another parts as well. the 2 final part of the book, especially last 10~15 pages turned me upside down. it was fabulous and a little bit shocking. it worth to read books like this. most of the time, I like to read full mysterious books, like ones by Harlan Coben or Tess Gerritsen, but I'm satisfied with this book, despite it is more a detective story rather than mystery. author did great job in writing a detective book which is interesting enough to make you turn pages quickly.
