Only a final desperate gambit by Captain Picard and the U.S.S. Enterprise™ crew stopped the Borg from conquering the entire Federation. And now they have returned.

Solid TNG book. Dialogue can be a little clunky or out of character at times. Characterizations of certain phenomena get altered or muddled a bit as the story goes on. If you are looking for a novel involving the Borg, the Destiny trilogy is better but this is still good. Also, be warned this is a post-Best of Both Worlds but pre-First Contact/Voyager depiction of the Borg.
