About this ebook

The fast lane is much too slow for Rachel Walsh. And Manhattan is the perfect place for a young Irish female to overdo everything. But Rachel's love of a good time is about to land her in the emergency room. It will also cost her a job and the boyfriend she adores.

When her loving family hustles her back home and checks her into Ireland's answer to the Betty Ford Clinic, Rachel is hopeful. Perhaps it will be lovely—spa treatments, celebrities, that kind of thing. Instead, she finds a lot of group therapy, which leads her, against her will, to some important self-knowledge. She will also find something that all women like herself fear: a man who might actually be good for her.

A good read with some real quality laugh-out-loud moments! This book is an interesting window into the life an addict and often leaves the reader questioning his/her own judgement. Is she, or isn't she, in the end, an addict?? To top it off, there's a little bit of romance that makes this book a real good chick-flicky type read!

AMAZING BOOK! The size intimidated me at first but I ended up finishing this book all too soon wishing there was more. Awesome portrayal of life as an addict. Really helped to see things from an addicts perspective. Will recommend to anyone!

I normally don't read "chick lite" but I really enjoyed this book (of course it was summer). I think there are some profound issues here, and not just the narcotic addition -- although it was a great way of messaging. The writing is "real" and quick; as an American, I found the English-ism's interesting and made me stop sometimes to figure out what was being meant, although the only real difference was in the candies mentioned. This book was profound enough that this morning when I got up to use the loo, and wanted to go back to bad thereafter, I forced myself not to (for the first time ever) and set about starting my day because if I was working, I would have been up already. In other words, to change me, I have to change my habits -- that's the whole premise of the book -- now go and read it!
