Ratings and reviews

Moving and yet worrying. I don't doubt for one minute that we would react the same way when we meet others from afar. My mind often wandered while reading. Not because I was bored but because it was thought provoking. I loved the characters too. I feel surprisingly rested after reading it.

Worth a read but a bit obtuse at times

Jeffrey A. Carver is the author of sixteen SF novels, including the ongoing Chaos Chronicles. Equally popular are his Star Rigger stories, including Dragon Space and Nebula finalist Eternity’s End. While his work is usually called hard SF, his greatest love remains character, story, and a healthy sense of wonder.
