About this ebook

Some things it’s better not to know. In Louise Anderson’s terrifying debut thriller, a twisted killer brings to life a woman’s worst nightmare–a dark secret she hoped she’d never have to face again.

Hardly ten A.M. and attorney Erin Paterson was already having the worst day of her life. One of Glasgow’s top litigation lawyers, her specialty was victim compensation, not criminal law. But in the next twenty-four hours, she’d assault her soon-to-be-ex boyfriend and become the chief suspect in the brutal murder of an old schoolmate. Erin hardly remembered Lucy Grant, so what were messages from the dead woman and her killer doing on her phone the day of the murder? It’s a question that will soon unravel Erin’s carefully wrapped life to uncover a family trauma she and her troubled sister have done their best to leave behind. Suddenly Erin’s on the verge of losing everything–her reputation, her family’s law firm, and her life. For she’s on the short list of a serial killer concealed in the one place she’d almost rather die than look….
