I actually really liked this book. In some ways, it was similar to _I, Lucifer_, and in other ways it had elements of Anne Bishop's Black Jewels series' characters (although this was published first, so I suppose it really ought to go the other way around). Either way, this novel of the story of Satan and all the rest is quite fascinating. I really enjoyed reading it. More than I thought I would. The clear cut lines between Yahweh and Satan - how both perspectives were right and then make Satan into the hero was quite well done.

Very good book, tackles a topic many avoid and cringe at,but Mr.Brust here does a great job of giving you a beautifully painted picture of heaven and all its content, only draw back I'd say is that it's kind of short. The dialogue is great, the plot is phenomenal, reading this book you find yourself easily lost in its mesmerizing pages,a great read.

Slow to start, but definitely makes up for it in the end. I cannot wait to read more from this author.
