About this ebook

Winner of the 2011 Diamond Gem Award for Trade Book of the Year

In the Walking Dead universe, there is no greater villain than The Governor. The despot who runs the walled-off town of Woodbury, he has his own sick sense of justice: whether it's forcing prisoners to battle zombies in an arena for the townspeople's amusement, or chopping off the appendages of those who cross him. The Governor was voted "Villain of the Year" by Wizard magazine the year he debuted, and his story arc was the most controversial in the history of the Walking Dead comic book series. Now, for the first time, fans of The Walking Dead will discover how The Governor became the man he is, and what drove him to such extremes.

The characters in this book are incredibly dumb. They're in a zombie infested area, and they choose to do things such as shoot a a trapped zombie, which is a waste of ammo, rather then take it out quietly with their axes, or just simply walk away. Then they have the nerve to act surprised that the sound attracted zombies. As the book goes on their stupidity never lets up. The characters aren't only idiotic, but also have the same personality as a block of wood. If you're a fan of the comic or the TV show, skip this book.

I have been a fan of the walking dead since the 1st season. It's the best show ever. All the actors are great with their rolls, always expect the unexpected. I really enjoy all the actor, Daryl is one sexy actor and his hard outer shell makes him even hotter. Rick and Carl have been thru a lot and I am ready for this season. To the wrighters keep up the great work. Always a fan!!! Laurie Hodgson Tampa Fla 33612

Overall, a very engrossing story, but I had to take off two stars for some errors that could have been corrected by an hour of using Google. If you are going to use details or brand names, it helps to get them right. Making repeated references to a "Ford S-10", the S-10 was a Chevy, shows a failure to do some basic research. The same goes for having a character "show his pistol had the safety on.....". The problem is the weapon has been identified as a Glock, A Glock has an external trigger safety and two internal safeties. You aren't going to show someone that the trigger safety is on. Details are great and help add color to the story. Mistakes made with those details break the flow of the narrative.
