I love sci fi, fantasy, but only if the characters in it are relatable. I really felt there was not enough character development in this series. I kept reading, HOPING something would click for me. I just could not get into the characters or what they were doing. . . Sorry, Ted. I feel like I spent money in hopes of looking this series by the end.

Wonderful book! I've never been so attached to a book with so much imagination like this before. It's always got a twist here and there. It's better than Narnia and it's up there with Harry Potter! You just have to read it. Filled with action, religious and scientific matters, plus a little romance.

The series, Black, Red, and White are an amazing description of the love of the Father. This is one of the few sets of books I could read over and over again...actually anything Ted Dekker writes!

About the author

The son of missionaries, Ted Dekker grew up in the jungles of Indonesia. He returned to the United States to attend Evangel College, graduating with a religion and philosophy major. After several years in corporate marketing, he began writing books like Heaven's Wager. Ted and his wife live in the mountains of Colorado with their four children.
