Interesting world building combining werewolves, magic, steampunk technology, and recency romance. Tanya Huff manages to add a strong female lead and an unconventional take on werewolf pack dynamics and make it all work!

I really enjoyed this book. It's kind of like a Norah Roberts romance novel combined with Science Fiction and Fantasy with a bit of Jessica Fletcher mystery thrown in for good measure. It worked surprisingly well. I had a hard time putting it down. (I don't always have these dark circles under my eyes!)

Tanya huff delivers again with another wonderful title to add to her already extensive library of novels. The characters are likable and carry a strong presence

About the author

Tanya Huff may have left Nova Scotia at three, and has lived most of her life since in Ontario, but she still considers herself a Maritimer.
