About this ebook

Summer. Massachusetts.

An old Silver Wraith with a frightening history. A story about one serial killer and his lingering, unfinished business.

Anyone could be next.

We're going to Christmasland ...

NOS4R2 is an old-fashioned horror novel in the best sense. Claustrophobic, gripping and terrifying, this is a story that will have you on the edge of the seat while you read, and leaving the lights on while you sleep. With the horrific tale of Charles Manx and his Silver Wraith, Joe Hill has established himself as the premiere horror and supernatural thriller writer of his generation.

Having really enjoyed other books by Joe Hill, I wasn't sure initially whether to read this one as the descriptions I'd read didn't appear that appealing. I thought I'd give it a go though and wow, what a story! Expertly crafted and woven together, with a great heroine whom you really root for. Brilliant! PS some readers have commented on the layout thinking there's a problem - there isn't: some chapters end with the heading of the next chapter overleaf (ellipsis to show this might have helped, I guess).

Really liked the story but it did drag on a bit towards the end. Also, as is probably intended, I didn't like the main character, so unfortunately I didn't care enough about her, which I think is needed for the reader to care about the outcome of the story. But still better than most other stories of this type.

The story itself is great, but there is a problem with the presentation. The final few sentences of each chapter are routinely 'chopped off'. Whether this is the fault of my platform- an Xperia Z3- or how the book has been scanned is unclear. Have tried deleting it and downloading it again without success.
