Ratings and reviews

I have read every novel Tom Clancy has written and this one gripped me as much as the very first one. He has let the characters age as they should and let Jack Jr. develop and mature without making him some supernatural hero, just a good man with morals who loves his country. I hope the story continues as long as I am able to read.

Rather than rant about how the author (Greaney) talks down to the reader, I'll just say he explains the definition of the acronym NATO. The Clancy characters have gone from a members of a terrorist attack force to assassins of questionable morals .I think Clancy's contribution is his name on the cover and Greaney doesn't understand Clancy. Would only be hard to put down if it were Super Glued to your hand.

I, like so many have seen the movies. This was my first time reading a Clancy novel. Enjoyed the book equally as much as any movie. A must read for any Tom Clancy fan. Plot, characters, intrigue, complexity. It has it all.

About the author

A little more than thirty years ago Tom Clancy was a Maryland insurance broker with a passion for naval history. Years before, he had been an English major at Baltimore’s Loyola College and had always dreamed of writing a novel.
